The English are people steeped in history. Trust the Surrey Vintage Vehicle Society, and particularly Bozi Mohacek, to pro- vide an excellent account of André Citroën and his automotive developments. For those wanting a primer about Citroën before the Traction Avant, this site contains 5 must read sections that take you from the André Citroën's acquisition of the rights to produce chevron gears, up to the Model C 5CV:
Part 1/. Brief History of Bozi Mohacekʼs 1921 Citroën 5CV “ LʼEscargot “.
Part 2/. André Citroën and his introduction to double chevron gears.
Part 3/. André Citroën and his connection with Mors and Munitions.
Part 4/. Formation of the ʻS.A. André Citroënʼ Car Company.
Part 5/. Brief History of the Model C 5CV Citroën.
Fascinating reading that makes you appreciate the man, the technology that followed, and the fascination that is still very much alive today. |

This French military history site features tanks and armoured vehicles primarily from WWI and WWII. I had no idea the number of French manufacturers of these types of vehicles. Truly staggering! A 1932 P 28 Citroën Kegresse (half-track) is shown in various armoured configurations here: http://www.chars-francais.net/new/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=793&Itemid=36 |

Now with Citroen opening its corporate showplace to evangelize the marque by returning to its legendary address on 42 Champs-Elysees in Paris, they have also created a very avant-garde website! In it you will find excellent history videos on the Traction Avant, 2CV, and the DS as well as the C42 landmark itself. Citroen is deservedly proud, of their accomplishments and this website indeed reflects that! |

Piero and his wife Luisa have published an extensive collection of Citroën documents; sales brochures, technical manuals etc.. that they have amassed. The docs here are not for sale! Even though he has watermarked them to prevent unauthorized copying, it is a fascinating browse. And he does claim that he is willing to trade physical duplicates that he has. |

For the serious Citroën film buff, this site lists almost 300 films that have Citroëns in them. It’s called IMCDB (Internet Movie Cars Database) and if you don’t find Cits to your liking, just back up to http://www.imcdb.org/. You can then pick any of 220 automobile makes and see where they have appeared on the silver screen. |
