Axel and Uschi, who left Germany for many reasons, chief among them the mounting administrative persecution of the 2CV, have assembled a great site with tons of 2CV service information and advice.

2CV's are wonderful cars, but a might delicate in an accident! This site shows the result of a few Euro fender benders! Drive carefully!! WARNING: This is not for the faint of heart. There are some really mangled messes here. Personally, I feel it gives you sense that in driving any Citroën, particularly a 2CV, you should keep an 'aura of distance', - a conscious zone between you and others on the road.

Racing or street version, if your 2CV is in dire need of parts, there is an excellent chance that the ECAS 2CV parts site has what you're looking for. After you've browsed though their online listings of new and recond-itioned parts, (many with photos), you will appreciate the over-15-years experience in putting this resource together. Located in Stafford, England, ECAS offers parts for 2CV, Dyane, Acadiane, Mehari, 2CV vans AK/AZU and Ami 8. And to ensure that 2CVs (and derivatives) stay on the road, they are having many parts re-manufactured as Citroën delete them. You can download a catalog list of parts, and in that you will find some very useful technical tips!

With winter coming, you might want to think of a nice project for your 2CV. How about making a cabriolet? This swiss site shows you where to chop to make a topless 2CV that can pass even the tough ʻdʼautres homologationʼ stan-dards imposed by the Swiss government. And if you would like to see some nice pictures of 2CV cabrios, look to http://membres.lycos.fr/cabrioletazelle/

Will's Tin Snail is not the most visually exciting website, but what it lacks in design is more than made up for in simple, straightforward access to all key areas directly from the home page. The site delivers a folksy approach to the 2CV, including an excellent history, and a “must read” section on 2CV service schedules. Concise and thorough, follow the procedures listed and your 2CV should have the longest and happiest of lives! While you are mulling about, click on 10 good reasons to drive a 2CV. In fact, print it out and have a few on hand the next time you are approached by curious folks who wonder what the heck it is and why in the world you are driving it?

Jorge Tavares delved into Russian automotive news and unearthed a design competition sponsored by Motor Magazine. Seems like a number of young Russians have been inspired by Citroën. Witness this next generation 2CV concept sketch. There are lots more 2CV designs to be found! They also made arguably less successful attempts at multiple restyles of the DS. (See: http://www.motor.ru/motor/progs/issue.cgi?artno=24-7) Even if you don’t know any Russian, the pictures speak for themselves. Thanks Jorge!

2CV Scrapyards. As the name suggests, this site has a few pages devoted to photos of 2CV castaways, most of them taken in France. While you’re there, enter http://www.camerama.demon.nl/grami/index.html. There are two interesting articles in English, outlining the conversion/restoration of an Ami Break to RHD and the restoration of a very rare Ami 6 Service model. The Service was an Ami wagon that had its side windows replaced with steel panels to make it an Ami van-wagon.
